So far in 2015 I’ve actually completed a sewing project and it’s only a couple of weeks in! (I know I can’t believe it either) I made the Easy Knit Skirt out of Gerties new book which I got for Christmas. I will be blogging about it soon…
For now I want to write about my sewing plans for 2015…
Hopefully next I am planning a Clemence skirt by Tilly and the Buttons from her book, Love at First Stitch. The polka dot fabric is super light and quite transparent so I’ve decided to line it with the grey Chinese silky satin. Both fabrics are from Fabric Land.
This is my Pastille dress which I cut out a while ago then freaked out that I wasn’t ready and put it away. I’m determined to make it this year, AND that its the last dress I make without a muslin first.
This is another dress I’m planning to make, it’s the Shift Dress from Gerties new book.
This is the dress I am perhaps the most excited/apprehensive about. I am super in love with this fabric, its so awesome! The pattern is the Megan dress from Tillys new book.
These two are both tops from the new Gertie book, the top one is the Sweetheart Knit Top, the bottom is simply a variation of the pattern (Which is how the book works btw, love it)
I ordered the fabric for the two knit tops online from Minerva Crafts, (obviously in terribly original colours) but when it came its quite different to what I expected and not at all suitable I don’t think… I’m now thinking they would be good for a light cardigan. I have two cardigan patterns, the Mouse House Julia Cardigan and Coletteries Seamwork Oslo Cardigan.
