To begin, my pledge;
‘I, Susie of @craftysooze, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’17. I endeavour to spend at least 10 minutes sewing each day for the duration of May 2017′
I know this sounds simple and kind of obvious, but this will be a great challenge for me. Last year I joined in with MMM and it was easy, I had a job where I could wear what I wanted and I have enough me-mades now that it’s fairly unusual for me to not be wearing one every day.
Since last May my mental health has been a big issue for me, it’s only in the last 6 weeks or so that I’ve really started sewing again but it’s still a struggle to get the right mindset to start. My thinking with this challenge is habituation and positive reinforcement, I ideally want to spend 30 minutes a day sewing when I’m working and an hour on my days off.
I have a lot of projects going on in my head and on paper at the moment so I think this is the ideal time to get this project going.
Last year I struggled to keep up with taking photos and really logging what I’ve been up to, this year I’m hoping to share all my plans with you and have weekly updates on my blog. I’m also intending to start the month off with as much prep as possible!
This post is just the beginning but is definitely lacking a bit of colour and a photo or two so here’s my current favourite brunch, the recipe is from the latest Tesco magazine, its amazinggggggggggg!
